Housing Partnership Board
The Housing partnership board brings together representatives from registered social landlords, borough council officers and elected members to work together on housing issues. The partnership has recently been focussing on how changes in welfare legislation will affect local residents and providers and looking at how best to provide support.
Basingstoke and Deane Social Inclusion Partnership
The Basingstoke and Deane Social Inclusion Partnership is a strategic collaborative board chaired by Councillor Terri Reid. It is attended by practitioners and organisations whose interest is to reduce homelessness and increase social inclusion.
The partnership is grounded and guided by contributions made by people with lived experience of homelessness and people working at the frontline.
The partnership has recently been working on developing a plan to reduce rough sleeping in Basingstoke and Deane and is heading the campaign Real change, not loose change. For more information about this campaign please visit: www.basingstoke.gov.uk/real-change
The partnership hosted a BASP engagement event on 30 November 2016. At the event members of BASP partnerships, Town Centre business owners and people with lived experience of homelessness and rough sleeping came together to create a plan to reduce rough sleeping.
