Charges apply 24 hours a day Monday to Sunday in all our long stay Basingstoke town centre car parks.
Free overnight parking (7pm to 8am) is available in our short stay car parks at Central car park, Joyces Yard, Albert Yard, Castons Yard, Feathers Yard and Jacobs Yard. Charges apply during the day.
No charge is payable in any of these borough council-owned car parks on Bank Holidays except for Good Friday, when normal charges apply.

For one hour free parking you will need to take a ticket from the ticket machines. This option is not available on RingGo.

Paying for parking
You can pay for your parking session through RingGo
To sign up you will need to download the RingGo app and have these details to hand:
- Mobile number
- Email address
- Car registration
- Credit or debit card
Once signed up, simply select the car park you have parked in and the amount of time you wish to park for and you'll be charged the relevant amount. You can extend your session if required, without returning to your car. If you want to receive optional reminder texts then there is a 10 pence charge. There is no need to display a ticket.
Alternatively, you can buy a pay and display ticket on arrival from a nearby machine using coins or payment cards.
If you choose to pay and display, your ticket should be clearly displayed on your dashboard so that the details are visible from outside of the vehicle.
