We encourage all local communities in the borough to get involved in shaping their local areas. One way is for communities across the borough’s towns and villages to develop their own community-led plans.
Community plans for East Woodhay, North Waltham, Oakley and Deane and St Mary Bourne have been developed and adopted by the local parish councils.

Published in October 2017 following wide engagement led by the 4B resident group. The group dissolved in 2025.
Published and distributed to every household in Kempshott, following wide engagement led by various working groups within the ward. The working groups have now disbanded and the information handed to South Kempshott Community Association that manages Old Down Hall who can be contacted by emailing olddownhall@gmail.com.
The Marnel and Merton Community Plan (in west Popley) was developed by the Marnel and Merton Community Group and was launched in June 2014.
Two community planning groups (covering the Shakespeare Road and Popley Islands) joined forces to produce a plan for Popley East in 2014.
There is no specific community group leading on the actions for either of these community plans. Local service providers and organisations are able to use the plans to direct their services and show evidence of need for grant applications.
A community-led plan for South Ham, the Berg Estate and the South Ham extension was published in 2013, developed by a local residents' group.

Involving local residents to develop its community-led plan in November 2017, the Community Action Group has since extended to cover the new ward boundary of Winklebury and Manydown and can be contacted by emailing winkleburycag@hotmail.com
