Election of a parish councillor for Sherfield on Loddon

There is a vacancy for a parish councillor on Sherfield on Loddon Parish Council.

If more than one candidate is validly nominated within the nomination period, a poll will be held on Thursday 6 August 2026. If only one valid nomination is received, the validly nominated candidate will be elected without a poll. If no nominations are received, the vacancy will remain open and the parish council can co-opt at their parish meeting.

Nomination Process

If you are interested as standing as a candidate, you will need to submit your nomination papers between 10am Thursday 2 July 2026 and 4pm Friday 10 July 2026. You must submit your nomination papers by hand to Electoral Services at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. Please call 01256 845467 to arrange an appointment.
